![]() ![]() Usually the new games are just resealed and don’t actually qualify as new since they’re missing the “Y Seal” that comes from a factory produced, brand new, never been opened game. My luck with getting cheap games “new” through sellers on Amazon has been subpar to say the least. I had been watching this game online for some time, thinking it might be a hidden classic from Aksys, but the price never matched up until now! This week however the price gods worked their magic and the strategy RPG was reduced in price to a level much closer to my liking. I didn’t value the game that much, so I passed. Purchased at: GameStop (Sunnyvale, CA – $3)Ī few weeks back I saw this game mixed in with the loose DS carts and thought about getting it, but at the time it was still something like $8 or $9. A near perfect blend of exploration and reward, Etrain Mystery Dungeon should be played by all RPG fans out there, especially if you’re familiar and enjoyed the source material. The game is constantly rewarding you with new supplies, money, item, levels, characters, and challenges every minute you play it. I am certainly happy I did, because it has been a refreshing take on the RPG and portable gaming scene for me. Having never played a Mystery Dungeon game but thoroughly enjoying my past experiences with the Etrain Odyssey games, I decided to pick this one up and give it a try. Oh, and a very interesting find at Goodwill capped off the week. ![]() *sigh*Ī preordered game arrived from Amazon this past week, as well as a random sealed PS2 game. Sadly, and let this be a lesson, only one of the games from the trio I originally intended on picking up were still available. After passing on a select few games during the tail end of GameStop’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal, I decided to drag myself back to the store to purchase what I honestly should have bought the first time. A bit late on getting this one out, but a great week nonetheless for games. ![]()
